'It's like they never miss a pass': The Swans' Galbraith continues clash with Pep's side.

Ethan Galbraith grins broadly as he reminisces about the dramatic final moments of his team's stunning fightback triumph against Nottingham Forest in the League Cup. The encounter ended with Galbraith briefly donning a supporter's spectacles amid the post-goal scrum.

During the final moments of stoppage time, Galbraith cracked the upright with a powerful effort from 25 yards, and his teammate quickly slammed home the loose ball before sprinting toward the crowd to mark the goal, with fans swarming the players.

Remarkable Recovery

This sealed an incredible comeback given the team had found themselves down 2-0 deep into the second half. During the celebrations, there was some unintended consequences. He shared, "There was a supporter shouting out and myself and Keysy [Josh Key] were puzzled: 'What's he on about here?' Then we saw the glasses. It was a bit of banter putting them on. We are on the pitch as footballers but we're people, too, so to have a bit of craic with the fans is always good."

Manchester City Challenge

The result secured a next round game at home against Manchester City on Wednesday, a team Galbraith pushed hard at the same stage of the FA Cup with his former club in February. The athletic midfielder had a prime vantage point when his former team took the lead in remarkable manner, with a teammate's long-range effort from about 45 yards going in via the bar and the City goalkeeper. It seems unfair that it was deemed an own goal.

"You would have expected they would've given it to him for attempting the shot from that far out," stated Galbraith, who began the game centrally before moving to right defensive wing after Orient changed shape. That meant getting to grips with Jack Grealish, with whom he swapped shirts, and the attacker was among the City players who complimented the way his former team attacked the game.

Guardiola's System

"Physically they are very good but even the basics and basic skills, they can just perform consistently," the midfielder notes. "It appears that they always find their target and they understand how to dictate and slow down a game. You can believe you're doing well and then suddenly they will just fizz a pass past your midfield without you even noticing. You have to be alert throughout of the game. It demands a strong mentality and concentration just to remain competitive."

New Chapter

The club sought to acquire Galbraith in January and fought off rivals to bring him in in the summer in a seven-figure transfer. He made a name as a crowd pleaser across multiple campaigns at his former club and has swiftly achieved similar status in his new home. At his previous team he linked up again with his former manager, who four years ago gave Galbraith his initial sustained opportunity in professional games on loan at a League One side from Manchester United. Then came a loan at lower division Salford City, before he moved on from his boyhood club.

Growth Journey

"I was perhaps a bit naive going into senior level. I think a lot of players would say development squad matches is very different. Sometimes it feels like the ball is moved without real physicality. You see few hard challenges. Once you start playing men's games you have to adapt rapidly."

National Team Success

He has demonstrated that growth for club and country, performing well for his national side, who could still reach the World Cup next summer via the qualifying rounds and for whom he has featured in the recent fixtures, including two matches fixtures against Germany. His former international manager, Galbraith's former international manager, paid him the highest praise, saying he was Northern Ireland's "midfield general" given how he handles the football and his ability to spot a killer pass.

Early Days

This represents a remarkable path for the youngster from the local area in his hometown, just outside Northern Ireland's main city, who was raised observing his dad, his father, also a engine room operator, play for Ballyclare Comrades.

Manchester United Experience

His only game for Manchester United came in Kazakhstan in 2019, a Europa League trip to the Kazakh capital, where they played on an artificial pitch and the arena covering was sealed owing to the weather of -15C. "This represented a long trip and it was cold out there," he says, smiling. "The week before, the academy prospects worked out jointly, so that assisted our preparation. Just to accompany the senior squad and earn some playing time at the end was incredible."

Moving On

What was the challenge was it to move on from Old Trafford, the club he joined from Linfield aged a teenager? "It was fairly simple, because I reached the point where I understood I wasn't going to make it at first-team level. I'm extremely thankful for the years at the club but it became apparent where I believed I required a fresh start, move to a lower level and play professional soccer. Now I'm steadily working my way back up."

Life in Swansea

This occurs during the middle of the day at the club's training ground but Galbraith has an appointment at late afternoon: a driving theory test, another move in the direction of getting on the road. Until recently to Sketty, the 24-year-old was a regular in Swansea's so-called fun bus, a team vehicle driven by club employees, the drivers, which ferries players to and from practice and games.

"It's myself Gonçalo Franco, another squad member, Malick Yalcouyé – the Swedish defender used to be in it but has started driving. It's pleasant to interact with the lads but I'm hoping to be the subsequent individual to drive independently and driving. His teammate enjoys practical jokes; he's frequently playing tricks."

Public Engagement

While playing for his former club, Galbraith would mix with followers on the Tube after beginning his trip at his base. "I tried|I attempted|My aim
