The Prince of Wales Set to Attend UN Climate Conference in Brazil
Prince William will represent the United Nations climate conference in South America in the coming weeks, according to palace sources.
The father and son duo appeared together on Thursday night at a event leading up to the climate summit, which is planned for in the Amazonian city of Belem.
The King and Prince were in attendance at the museum gathering, marking an rare public appearance together at a environmental conference preliminary meeting co-hosted by the United Kingdom administration.
Environmental Advocacy Dedication
King Charles has been a longstanding advocate of biodiversity preservation - and the Prince of Wales has taken on the baton, with his own environmental prize initiative, which will be held in Brazil before the UN meeting.
Official representatives have portrayed Prince William's attendance at the upcoming climate summit as assuming an significant responsibility in "climate diplomacy".

The monarch and his heir, arriving together in the state Bentley, were introduced to participants featuring environmentalists, scientists, environmental activists, diplomats and politicians.
This engagement involved presentations alongside President Emmanuel Macron of France and other global statesmen at the Marine Economy Conference in the Principality of Monaco in recent months.

The climate conference will coincide with the the royal's Earthshot environmental awards, which will finish in the Brazilian city the day before he joins the climate conference on November 6th.
In recent days the William referred to the prize competitors as "contemporary champions".

The monarch has been a prominent presence at past COP meetings, providing the introductory remarks in the United Arab Emirates for COP28, including the statement: "We are custodians of the planet, not its owners".
